Hi everyone.

I'm a new user here, and I think you all do such a great work. Congratulations

I'm planning to give my brother this gift : An amiga games compilation, composed with the ones we used to play together when we were children.
That's why I love your work guys !

Unfortunately, the games we used to play the most together are unavailable !
I'm talking about this games :
- Another world
- Flashback
- Shufflepuck cafe
- Wings
- Golden axe
- Jaguar XJ220
- Cool spot
- The antheads compilation
- The Silkworm compilation
- The Speedball compilation
- The Stunt car racer compilation
For all of these, the source file can't be read. Certainly missing, or moved.

First, I'm telling you that for information.
Secundly, if you'll update these ones, I'll get them AND raise you all in GOD RANK in my personal vision of society :amen:

hmm, all download links seems to be fine for me. i checked it even as an unregistred user and it works for me as well.
i have no idea what could be wrong.

Thanks for your quick answer.
Is this problem coming from my computer ?

I'm on Vista and the talkbox say :
C:\Users\Name\AppData\Local\Temp\AdZ_Ru.exe.part won't be saved beacause the source file can'te be read.
Please try later or contact the server admin.

AdZ_Ru.exe.part is a temp file created by windows during the download. The filename "AdZ_Ru" is random and isn't the same filename each time I try to download the same game.
So this was just a random example.

I tried on another computer, on windows seven 64, and the same error happened, on the same games.
Logged or not.
Plus, on this computer, Avast detects also an adware. Why ?

What is benefactor ? A kind of a launcher ?

Not by Windows, but the browser - Firefox in your case.

It's called a false-positive, because of a shitty heuristics mechanism.
Change your antivirus or select The Company games as safe.

That not solve the problem, I tried download them on :
- firefox + internet explorer on vista
- firefox + internet explorer on windows 7 64
Unsuccessfull. I really don't know why.

For Avast, I prefered ask you before turn TheCompany as safe.

And for benefactor, I don't understand why you told me to download this game in particular ? is anything different with it than another game ?
Maybe I forgot to say that I succeed to download several other games than the ones mentionned on top of this page. So no problem with other ones, no avast interception, no "sourcefile can't be read".

Is there no other way to get them ?

We're working on it, but for now, yes, that is the only way to use them.

Benefactor : 121 MB... It's a bit HUGE for a simple amiga game

Is it boosted with steroids or something

Just in case, I'm going to ask a last thing... And after that, I'll stop to bother you all, I promise !
Can you update some of the games I mentionned ? Just 2 or 3, in order to test to re-download them.
I really try everything I can do...
If you are ok, tell me which ones you updated.

I have been plagued by this problem for the last couple days and I built a list of games which I'm unable to download.

I get the same error message saying the source cannot be read but from reading some above replies I see antivirus being mentioned. Only then do I see that it's having problems reading the file FROM MY MACHINE.

I've fixed the problem completely by disabling antivirus - I'm using avast! and can now download all those games that failed before.

Unfortunately.
v2.5 used custom code-packers, so exe is detected as malware/adware.

example v2.6 (with whitelist code-packers)
