Slow games, distorted sound...

Bugs Report
iced_nine When playing a few of these (namely Rick Dangerous, Turrican) to name a few, the sound is distorted and the gameplay is very slow as if not enough memory. Playing these on a 6 core CPU with 4GB of RAM... any help would be appreciated...

Re: Slow games, distorted sound...

I have this issue on my machine at home with all games, has something to do with going to fullscreen. If I hit CTRL+F12 and go to windowed mode, it's fine. Also, pressing F12 and setting it to Full-window mode also fixes it perfectly. Wondering if it's something to do with having dual monitors.

Is there a way to alter the configurations so I can load them up automatically in Full-window mode?

Re: Slow games, distorted sound...

Yes, but this feature is only for v2.6 exes:
Local settings
Demonic Window checks for a file 'settings.cfg' in the same location as the EXE.
You can use this feature to define your settings for many EXEs!
More at: http://thecompany.pl/guide

1. Create settings.cfg and place line:

Code: Select all

gfx_fullscreen_amiga=fullwindow
