Hello,
Has anyone here ever tried to use the A500 mini? I am considering to buy the C64 mini and the A500 mini. I have been reading some review.
I have read that along the back of the A500 Mini is a power button, followed by the HDMI port, with 720p video output at 50/60Hz. Video output can be scaled when the device is running, and a CRT filter added for a more authentic experience that isn’t naturally available with LCD and plasma displays.
There are also three USB ports for the mouse and game controller, and almost any other USB game controller or joystick you own.
Three USB ports gives you the advantage of being able to connect a USB keyboard, should this be required. Plenty of Amiga games required a keyboard, so this is a welcome advantage.
THe retro mouse is very similar to the original Amiga’s mouse and it is USB, optical mouse and a bit more comfortable to use than the original one. There is however a kickstarter campaign to build a wireless mouse with a similar design to the original AMIGA mouse.
You can consult the kickstarter campaign here:

Also included is a game controller, which has been criticized by some players because it was designed according to the Amiga CD32 which in turn makes it a painfully impractical choice for platformers also because of its D-pad that is not comfortable. Fortunately as it seems it is possible to connect other better game controllers to the A500 Mini.
A500 mini comes with 25 preinstalled games and the possibility to add more games through USB. I wonder if we can connect the AMIGA games in the format provided by The Company through USB to A500 mini and play them connected to TV.
Is there anyone in this community who has experienced playing AMIGA games with A500 mini?
Thank you everyone in advance for your feedback and contribution to this topic.
I found this interesting video on youtube of someone unpacking the A500 mini and playing the games:
