I just wanted to present my work in progress, in a C64 re-imagined world, iPhone game.
I have always found new retro games to be lacking in actual graphics and render representations. They claim to be retro, but are just drawn in lower resolutions. Even then they use whole screen resolution to compose the image, and the result is just fake, for me.
So I endeavoured to create my own engine for representing new age retro. I am using it now for an arcade fell puzzle game. Hopefully even original. It is rendered in c64 similar resolution (188 width pixels) and with exact c64 palette, even double width pixels.
It is then displayed with array of filters aimed to create CRT feel on new screen. Please take a look.
It is my re-imagination of c64 world with today's tools and way of thinking, in a portable form format. Hope someone would like it.
